Rossendale elections 2017

Elections for Lancashire County Councillors are being held on Thursday 4 May 2017. There will be voting across Rossendale and there is one seat up for a county councillor in each of the following divisions: -

  • Mid-Rossendale (1 seat)
  • Rossendale East (1 seat)
  • Rossendale South (1 seat)
  • Rossendale West (1 seat)
  • Whitworth & Bacup (1 seat)

How To Vote

You must be on the Register of Electors to be able to vote. The last date to register for these elections is Thursday 13 April.  You can register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or by contacting the Elections Office.

If you vote in a polling station the location of your station will be shown on your polling card or poll card letter.  A full list of polling stations is available here.

Absent Voting

The last time to submit a postal vote application form to the Elections Office is 5.00pm on Tuesday 18 April and the last time to submit a proxy application form is 5.00pm on Tuesday 25 April.  To request an application form please contact the elections office on 01706 252445 or elections@rossendalebc.gov.uk.

Candidates  submit nomination packs to the elections office from 27 March up to 4.00pm on Tuesday 4 April.
