Tree preservation orders
TPOs are designated under the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and associated Regulations.
In conservation Areas Trees are protected by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 [Section 211] and associated Regulations.
Consent is required to carry out works to a tree that is protected by a TPO or is within a Conservation Area. You can check whether a tree has a TPO protecting it, or whether the tree is within a Conservation Area or by contacting us.
