Evidence shows that the North West is likely to be among the areas of the country proportionately hardest hit by higher levels of repossessions, evictions and subsequent increases in homelessness cases.
The aim of Rossendale Against Recession is to focus on what Rossendale Borough Council and partner agencies operating across Rossendale can do to mitigate against the current economic conditions in order to prevent homelessness in a broad sense - direct loss of accommodation across all tenures, owner occupiers, social and privately rented tenants, and indirectly to address loss of income - business and employment.
