Local Democracy Week In Rossendale
Question Time 2006
A lively young people's 'Question Time' was the highlight 2006 Local Democracy Week in Rossendale.
The Young People's Question Time held at Haslingden High School, over 230 sixth form students took part in the event.
The panel which included Councillor Duncan Ruddick the former Leader of Rossendale Borough Council, Councillor Brian Essex Rossendale Borough Council Youth Champion, Lancashire County Councillor Sean Serridge, Councillor Alan Neal, Carolyn Wilkins Chief Executive of Rossendale Borough Council and Dorothy Mitchell local business woman and a well known member of the of Rossendale Local Strategic Partnership were grilled on a range of issues, including public transport, war in Iraq and community safety figures.
