Can I pay over the phone?
Yes, you can make payments with your credit/debit card by phoning our automated payment line which is available 24 hours per day 7 days a week to take your payments by most debit or credit card.
Please telephone 0845 075 8582 and follow the instructions
Please note that there is a 1.8% charge for all credit card transactions. Payments by debit card do not incur a charge.
Customers paying with new Debit Cards beginning 4762 will unfortunately be charged 1.8% as if the card is a credit card. This is because the banks have issued this range of card numbers ahead of supplying the file which checks the type of card this range belongs to. The Council has no control over this but is advised it should be rectified mid/late September. If you have been charged in error please email receipt details to exchequer@rossendalebc.gov.uk and a refund of the charge will be made.
