Rossendale elections 2017
Elections for Lancashire County Councillors are being held on Thursday 4 May 2017. There will be voting across Rossendale and there is one seat up for a county councillor in each of the following divisions: -
- Mid-Rossendale (1 seat)
- Rossendale East (1 seat)
- Rossendale South (1 seat)
- Rossendale West (1 seat)
- Whitworth & Bacup (1 seat)

How To Vote
You must be on the Register of Electors to be able to vote. The last date to register for these elections is Thursday 13 April. You can register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or by contacting the Elections Office.
The last time to submit a postal vote application form to the Elections Office is 5.00pm on Tuesday 18 April and the last time to submit a proxy application form is 5.00pm on Tuesday 25 April. To request an application form please contact the elections office on 01706 252445 or email@example.com.
Anyone interesting in being a candidate in these elections can get further information here and may contact the elections office for a nomination pack or download one from the Electoral Commission's website here.
A candidates and agents briefing event will be held at 5.00pm on Wednesday 15 March in Room 210, Futures Park, Bacup OL13 0BB and Rossendale nomination packs will be available at this event.
Candidates can submit nomination packs to the elections office from 27 March up to 4.00pm on Tuesday 4 April.
A list of the candidates will be available on this website from 5 April.
Election results will be available on this website on 5 May.
