Rossendale & Darwen Constituency

A parliamentary election for the Rossendale and Darwen constituency will be held on Thursday 8 June 2017.

How To Vote


You must be on the Register of Electors to be able to vote. The last date to register for these elections is Monday 22 May.  You can register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or by contacting the Elections Office.


If you vote in a polling station the location of your station will be shown on your polling card or poll card letter. 


Absent Voting


The last time to submit a postal vote application form to the Elections Office is 5.00pm on Tuesday 23 May and the last time to submit a proxy application form is 5.00pm on Wednesday 31 May.  To request an application form please contact the elections office on 01706 252445 or elections@rossendalebc.gov.uk.


Candidates


Anyone interesting in being a candidate in this election can get information and download a nomination pack from the Electoral Commission's website at http://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/i-am-a/candidate-or-agent/uk-parliamentary-general-election-great-britain.


Candidates may submit their nominations, by appointment, to the elections office between 10.00am and 4.00pm on Tuesday 9 May to Thursday 11 May.


A list of the candidates will be published at 5.00pm on Thursday 11 May.
