Around 2/3 weeks after the funeral all flowers, wreaths and other items will be removed from the grave this may be sooner if the flowers have perished.

The grave may be topped up with soil and once the ground has settled it is then covered with turf.  This process can take many months and is greatly influenced by weather and ground conditions.  Newly laid turf may need re-lifting in order to level a grave.  Please do not think your grave has been forgotten about.
