Financial Support for Businesses

Rossendale Borough Council are here to support you, our business community.

The latest support package of the Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) is designed to support those businesses that we have targeted as a priority for support. This scheme will focus on those businesses that we deem are still struggling financially following the lifting of restrictions and can clearly show ongoing financial difficulties.

The scheme provides Rossendale Borough Council with limited funding, on a discretionary basis, to help those that continue to be severely impacted by restrictions or are struggling with the transition out of restrictions.

These business may or may not be listed on the business rates system.

Please note – The data you provide when applying for these grants will be shared with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), they will store it securely and process it for monitoring and evaluation purposes only. This includes, but is not limited to, follow up evaluation surveys relating to the business support grant schemes. Your data will also be shared with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).

This new scheme requires you to re-apply even if you have received funding previously.

This grant is for businesses that are still being severely affected by Covid-19. This discretionary grant is open to all businesses including those not on the ratings list.
