Salary - £28,900-£32,909

Hours - 37 hours – office base, on-site, hybrid working
The role
We are currently looking to appoint 3 passionate Town Centre Regeneration Officers to lead the implementation of physical improvements to Rossendale’s main town centre areas and public realm. The posts are funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Funding (UKSPF).
Duties and responsibilities
- Key point of contact for local businesses, volunteer and community groups
- Manage and support the successful delivery of town centre projects
- Facilitate promotional events and activities
- Be an ambassador for the town
- Support the existing Civic pride groups across Rossendale
- Be a key link between the community and council’s services
- Be a key link with Police to support nuisance and anti-social behaviour issues.
Person Specification
- Good understanding of the importance of working with partners to regenerate town centres
- Project management experience
- Experience in finding solutions and driving forward change in a demanding environment
- Able to use own initiative and manage own workload with minimal supervision
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and public, private and voluntary sector partners
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to multitask
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to a range of audiences
- Excellent IT skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability and willingness to demonstrate the council’s values and behaviours
- Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Ability to work outside office hours.
