Rossendale Borough Council calls on residents to help design improved wheeled sports provision at Edgeside Park

Rossendale Borough Council have secured funding to enhance the wheeled sports provision at Edgeside Park in Waterfoot. The project, deemed a priority on the park's masterplan, reflects the Council’s commitment to providing high-quality recreational opportunities for all residents across the borough.

A working group comprised of individuals passionate about guiding the park's development has identified the improvement of the wheeled sports facility as a key focus. The Council are now seeking suggestions from residents and users of the park to ensure that the enhancements align with their needs and preferences.

A council officer involved in the project said: "We are really pleased to have received this funding to improve the wheeled sports facility at Edgeside Park and it’s important that we hear the views of those who may use the facilities.

"Feedback is invaluable in shaping the future of this space, and we’d encourage anybody with an interest in wheeled sports or Edgeside Park generally to help us design the new facility and be part of the improvements."

The survey aims to gather insights into experiences with the current wheeled sports facility and along with suggestions for improvements.
