Improved Transport Infrastructure

Rossendale Borough Council is committed to developing and improving transport connections in the valley through road and train.

Rossendale Borough Council works closely with Lancashire County Council to improve the condition of the Valley’s Roads.

Excellent links via the M66, M65 and M62 mtoryways are key to connecting Rossendale with Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Yorkshire and the rest of Lancashire. Rossendale is less than an hour’s drive away from three major airports.

Transport for the North is developing a strategic Transport Plan, which Rossendale will benefit from.
