Application

A premises licence authorises the use of any premises (which is defined in the Licensing 2003 Act as a vehicle, vessel or moveable structure or any place or a part of any premises) for licensable activities.

The Council is required under the Licensing Act 2003 to issue a Statement of Licensing Policy every 5 years. This shows how the council as the Licensing Authority intends to uphold the 4 objectives of the Licensing Act when dealing with applications made under the Act. The Statement of Policy will be presented to Full Council in March 2019 for formal adoption. However, before then a formal period of consultation is taking place to allow comments to be made in relation to the contents of the statement. These can be submitted by anyone one and will be considered before adoption. If you wish to comment please send your response to licensing@rossendalebc.gov.uk Response’s should be received before 1st March 2019
