Armed Forces Covenants
Rossendale Borough Council signed its Armed Forces Covenant on 20th March 2024. The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise made by the United Kingdom to those who serve or have served in the armed forces, as well as their families.

Deployment | Royal Navy (mod.uk): Providing guidelines for serving personnel on a wide range of areas, ranging from marriage and pregnancy to making a will. In addition to this they provide a legal and financial advice service.
https://www.britishlegion.org.uk: Offering a range of financial assistance services that includes Loans, grants, benefits and money advice. They can also help with compensation claims that arose during service under the war pensions scheme or the armed forces compensation scheme.
Armed forces pensions - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) : Offering information to service personnel or family who are injured, disabled or left bereaved by service, including details of the armed forces compensation scheme, the war disablement pensions and armed forces pensions.
Army Families Federation - Supporting Army families worldwide (aff.org.uk): Providing confidential impartial local advice about any financial or family issues.
Individual Grants - The Soldiers' Charity (soldierscharity.org): Individual grants for soldiers, former soldiers and their immediate family.

ELCAS - Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Services : The MOD's Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme: Encouraging learning amongst armed forces personnel and also providing financial support for the pursuit of higher level education.
Schools - Lancashire County Council : Lancashire County Council provide advice and information about primary and secondary schools as well as advising how to appeal a school rejection decision.

Support groups for bereaved families | Military families | SSAFA : The BFSG provides emotional and social support and a signposting service for those families requiring welfare support to the families of members of the armed forces who have died in service whatever the circumstances. BFSG is run by SSAFA Forces Help which is the national charity for those who served in our armed forces, those who used to serve, and their families.
Priority NHS Care for Veterans www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/armed-forces-community : All Veterans are provided priority access to NHS hospital care for any condition that is related to their time during service.
