Rossendale's Year of Sport continues, shining a spotlight on Haslingden Cricket Club
For more than 170 years, Haslingden Cricket Club has been bringing people together through sport and has helped generations discover a love of cricket.
Based at Bentgate Ground, the club welcomes children from as young as four years old, offering fun, inclusive coaching and a clear pathway for young players to develop their skills all the way through to senior cricket. With more than 80 junior members already taking part, cricket continues to thrive in Rossendale.
The club encourages more girls to get involved in the sport, with dedicated girls-only coaching sessions for Under 11 and Under 13 players, creating even more opportunities for young people to play, learn and build confidence.
Junior coaching takes place every Friday evening, led by qualified coaches and supported by a fantastic team of volunteers who are passionate about making cricket accessible to everyone. The club also works closely with local schools, helping introduce more children across Rossendale to the game.
