Common Unactionable Tree Problems


Almost all of the tree teams work falls within the urgent and essential categories. Where the risk of harm from a tree is lower than 1/10k over the following 12 months the Council are unable to undertake works. A number of common tree problems that fall within this category are listed below;

  • trees considered too large
  • overhanging private property
  • roots entering broken drains
  • blocking natural light
  • blocking views
  • blocking radio, TV and satellite signal
  • blocking solar panels / shedding leaves, pollen or blossom
  • shedding fruit, berries or nuts
  • producing sap
  • bird droppings
  • presence of wildlife or insects
  • interference with power cables or telephone lines
  • personal medical issues related to trees
