I have been the elected member of Healey and Whitworth on the Borough Council since 1988, I was the Mayor of Rossendale in 1999/2000, I am also a member of Whitworth Town Council since 1987, in that time I have been the Mayor of Whitworth twice in 1990/91 and also in 2003/04. I am a member of the Lancashire Association of Local Councils. In May 2004 I was the only Independent Candidate for the European Election for the North West Region. I am now a Member of the Community First Party.
