Sex establishment
The legal powers allowing Local Authorities to licence and control sex establishments was adopted from 1st July 2004.
We will licence applications and control sex establishments within the Borough, in accordance with the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982, in the public interest and to protect children from harm.
Sex establishments fall into three categories
- Sex Shop
- Sex Cinema
- Sex Encounter Establishment
