Please note that we no longer make business rates credit balances available publicly
The Information Commissioners Office (ICO) published information highlighting the risks of releasing details of NNDR (National Non Domestic Rates) credit balances, in particular the potential for fraud to be committed using this information. Therefore we have reviewed the data we make publicly available, and will no longer publish these credit balances on our website, or release them in response to an FOI request.
The legislation which applies is Section 31(1) (a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (legislation.gov.uk) which states that information can be withheld if disclosing it could affect the prevention or detection of crime.
