How Do I Apply?

If you are over 18 years old, you should contact Social Services and ask for an assessment. This will be carried out by an Occupational Therapist. If your enquiry is for a young person up to the age of 18, you should contact Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust. Contact details are listed below.

Once an Occupational Therapist has made an assessment you will receive a letter from Social Services to let you know what has been recommended. In most cases, you will then hear from us to discuss the adaption. Smaller recommendations for equipment can be arranged without our involvement.

MSV Homecare and Repair

MSV Homecare and Repair offer services to repair or improve the homes of older, disabled, and vulnerable people to help them live in comfort and safety in their own home for as long as possible.

Their handyperson service can deal with many smaller jobs. For bigger jobs they have a panel of trusted contactors providing a wide range of trades and services. These have been chosen because of good workmanship, value for money, and reliability.

More information on the services provided can be found in our in-depth DFG policy; however in the first instance the guide may be more helpful.
