Haslingden

Haslingden, set among the hills and moorland of East Lancashire, is one of the county’s highest towns. It is a bustling town with a host of shops, both traditional and contemporary, surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Haslingden has the oldest recorded history of any of the Borough’s towns and achieved Borough status in 1891. The population of the town is 16,000. It is the home of the famous Hollands Pies, loved by many in the area and further afield. Stone from the quarries around Haslingden has been used in many famous locations including the paving slabs in Trafalgar Square, London.

Grip and Go at the Adrenaline centre at Haslingden Sports Centre is an exciting family climbing and adventure activity.  www.adrenilinecentre.co.uk   Nearby on  Helmshore Road, Victoria Park is an attractive, large park with facilities including an outdoor gym, play area, ball court, bowling green and a band stand.
