Public Open Space Notifications and Disposal Notices

Public Open Space Notification

Under Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 Rossendale Borough Council ("the Council") will display any intention to dispose of any area of public open space on this website as well as in the local press.

Copies of a plan showing the approximate position of the affected land may be inspected free of charge during normal office hours Monday to Friday, at the One Stop Shop, Futures Park, Bacup and also on the Council's website.

A copying charge may be payable if copies are required.

By virtue of Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended) the Council is required to give formal notice of its intention to dispose of public open space and consider any objections to the proposed disposal.

Any objections or representations with reasons regarding the proposed disposal should be made in writing to the Council as set out in the notice.

The area of land which is intended to be disposed of is edged red on the plan that accompanies the notice.

Any Notices of Disposal will be shown on the next page - if the page is empty then there are no public open spaces transactions proceeding.
