Applying for consent
Street trading consents are issued for a period of 12 months. There is an application fee of £90.00 payable with your submission of the application form. Once the application has been consulted upon and a decision to grant made, a further fee of £320.00 will be payable. The street trading consent will only be issued once the fee has been paid in full.
Cheques should be crossed and marked payable to Rossendale Borough Council. Payments can also be made using a credit or debit card. Please telephone 01706 217 777 (option 7) to arrange this.
Street trading may not commence until the fee has been paid and the consent granted and issued.
An application for a street trading consent will be submitted to the following authorities as part of the consultation process.
- Lancashire County Council Highways Authority
- Lancashire Constabulary
- Lancashire County Council Trading Standards
- Whitworth Town Council (if your application extends to an area located within Whitworth)
The application for registration must be sent to Licensing Unit, Rossendale Borough Council, The Business Centre, Futures Park, Bacup, Lancashire, OL13 0BB.
